Privacy policy
Effective October 19, 2026
This policy explains what personal information VybeDawgs LLC (“we” or “us”) collects through the NestLibre service, at nestlibre.com (“NestLibre”), why we collect it, who we share it with, where it’s kept, and the choices you have.
Who we are
We’re a company in Pennsylvania, in the United States, and we run NestLibre. We’re responsible for the personal information this policy describes.
Our Privacy Officer is responsible for protecting it, and answers your questions about this policy, including about our service providers outside Canada. Write to privacy@nestlibre.com, or by mail to the address under Contact.
What we collect
For the free citizenship practice, only technical information. It needs no account, and your answers and results stay in your browser.
Your account, for speaking practice: your email address, your province or territory, the language you use NestLibre in, and what you need to sign in. Amazon Cognito handles sign-in for us.
Your practice: recordings of your spoken answers and, once we offer writing practice, your written answers.
What we make from your practice: transcripts of your recordings, and the feedback and score estimates on your answers.
Payments, if you subscribe: from Stripe and its affiliate Link, the merchant of record for your payment (terms §4), details such as your plan and payment history, the name, email address and billing address on your payment, and your card’s type, last four digits and expiry date. We never receive your full card number.
Messages you send us, by email or by voicemail, with the address or phone number they come from.
Technical information: what our servers record about each visit or request, such as your IP address, your browser and the time. We keep it for 30 days, and it’s usually deleted within 3 days after that. The website is delivered through Amazon CloudFront, whose servers may be outside Canada.
Cookies and similar technologies: only what keeps you signed in, keeps NestLibre secure, and remembers the language you chose, which your browser keeps. We use no analytics or advertising cookies, and we’ll change this policy before we ever do.
Your practice answers don’t need real details about your life. Write and say only what you’re comfortable sharing.
Recording your voice
We ask first. Before your first recording, we ask for your permission to record your voice, separately from anything else. Without it, you can still use the rest of NestLibre.
What recordings are for. We transcribe them, so we can give you feedback on what you said, and we keep them with your practice history so you can go back to them.
Not to identify you. We don’t use your voice to identify you or to check who you are.
You can change your mind. You can withdraw your permission at any time, and delete your recordings. Speaking practice needs the permission, so it stops until you give it again.
How we use it
We use personal information to:
give you NestLibre: your account, practice, transcripts, feedback, score estimates and history;
take payments, give refunds, and keep our accounting and tax records;
send you messages about your account and plan, such as receipts, and the notices our terms or the law require;
answer your messages;
keep NestLibre and your account secure, and prevent fraud and misuse;
check and improve the accuracy of our feedback and score estimates;
meet our legal obligations, and protect our rights.
We never use your answers or recordings to train AI models. We’ll ask for your consent before we use your information for anything else, unless the law allows us not to.
Feedback is automated
AI produces it. Feedback and score estimates are produced automatically, by AI models, when you submit an answer for feedback.
Estimates only. They’re practice estimates, not official results, and we make no decision about you from them.
Questions. To ask how they’re produced, or to comment on one, write to us.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run NestLibre for us, under contracts that require them to protect it:
Amazon Web Services: hosting and storage, sign-in, our emails to you and yours to us (Amazon SES), our voicemail (Amazon Connect), transcription, and the AI models that produce feedback and help answer your emails (Amazon Bedrock). The companies that make those models don’t receive your information.
Stripe and its affiliate Link: payments, with Link as the merchant of record (terms §4).
Google: our email inbox, in Google Workspace, where your emails and voicemails to us reach a person, along with our AI assistant’s answers to your emails.
Stripe’s and Link’s own purposes. As the merchant of record, Link also uses payment information for its own purposes, such as charging sales taxes and preventing fraud, and so does Stripe, both under Stripe’s Privacy Policy (stripe.com/privacy), which covers Link.
Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants.
Authorities and others, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, NestLibre, or someone’s safety.
A business that takes over NestLibre, or is considering it, under an agreement to protect your information.
Others, with your consent or at your request.
Where your information goes
Kept in the United States. We keep your account, practice, recordings, transcripts and feedback with Amazon Web Services in the United States, in its US East (N. Virginia) region, and transcribe your recordings there.
Processed in the United States for feedback. To produce feedback, we send the text of your answers, meaning the transcripts of your spoken answers and, once we offer writing practice, your written answers, to AI models on Amazon Bedrock, which process it in the United States. Only the text is sent, never your recordings, and Amazon doesn’t keep it once the feedback is produced.
Your emails, to answer them. An AI model on Amazon Bedrock reads the emails you send to help@ to help answer them, in the United States. Bedrock keeps nothing once the answer is written. The copies our mail service keeps are under “How long we keep it”.
Your emails and voicemails, in our inbox. They reach a person in our email inbox with Google, along with our AI assistant’s answers to your emails. Google may keep and process them outside Canada, including in the United States. How long we keep them is under “How long we keep it”.
Seen from the United States. We’re a US company, so the people who run NestLibre for us may see your information from the United States, to give you support and to run the service.
Payments. Stripe and Link process payment information in the United States and other countries where they operate.
Subject to the law there. Information processed in another country is subject to that country’s laws, and its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities may be able to get it.
If you live in Quebec, this means your information is communicated outside Quebec, including to the United States, as this section describes.
How long we keep it
Your account and practice, including recordings, transcripts and feedback: while your account is open, so you can go back to your practice. You can delete a recording at any time.
When you close your account, we delete it and your practice within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep.
Payment and tax records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
Accounts left unused for 2 years: we close them, and delete them as above, after warning you by email.
Messages you send us, by email or voicemail, and our answers to them: until your question is resolved, and then for up to 2 years after our last exchange, in the inbox where we answer you. It also gets a copy of each answer our AI assistant sends you. The copies our mail and phone services receive are deleted after 30 days, and so is the copy of each reply our AI assistant sends you that our mail service keeps beside your email. A voicemail’s recording reaches the inbox where we answer you, with the number you called from. Our phone service, Amazon Connect, also keeps its own record of each call, with the number you called from and the time, for 24 months, and then deletes it. We can’t shorten that.
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. Only the people who need it to run NestLibre can see it, and our Privacy Officer is responsible for how we handle it. No way of storing or sending information is perfectly secure.
Your choices and rights
See and correct it. Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
Delete it. Delete recordings, or your whole account, at any time. We then delete your information as “How long we keep it” says.
Take it with you. If you live in Quebec, you can ask for the information you gave us in a structured, commonly used technological format.
Withdraw consent. You can withdraw your permission to record your voice at any time, and any permission you’ve given us to send you marketing emails.
How to ask. Write to privacy@nestlibre.com. We may first ask you to confirm who you are. We answer within 30 days, as Canadian privacy law requires.
Complaints. Write to our Privacy Officer, who looks into every complaint and tells you what we’ve done. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada; in Quebec, to the Commission d’accès à l’information; and in British Columbia or Alberta, to that province’s Information and Privacy Commissioner.
Emails from us
About your account and plan, such as receipts, notices of changes, and your copy of what you agreed to.
Marketing, only if you agree to it, with a box of its own, unticked and separate from accepting our terms. We record when and where you agreed, and to what. Each email says who it’s from, gives our mailing address and a way to reach us, and has a one-click unsubscribe.
Who NestLibre is for
NestLibre’s accounts are for adults who live in Canada, outside Quebec: you must be 18 or older, and sign-up asks for your province or territory. If we learn that someone younger has an account, we may close it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with its effective date, and tell account holders by email. If a change means using your information for a new purpose, we’ll ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
